SHIPPING
Order and Shipping Confirmation
You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been successfully placed. It will include your order number and shipping method. Please make sure your shipping address is correct as we are unable to redirect goods once they are on route to you. Any incorrect address details will often result in the parcel being returned to the sender, in which case you will be charged for re-delivery. The Plant Dad will not be responsible for any misplaced or unclaimed parcels by the courier company.
Where We Ship
We currently ship only within the continental USA (i.e. the “lower 48 states”). We are not presently accepting any International Orders, or orders from Alaska, Hawaii, or other US territories. If such an order is placed it is in error and will be rescinded. We may offer and charge extra for priority/fast shipping.
Shipping Fee
Customers with active seed subscriptions are entitled to free shipping. All other customers are required to pay shipping fees.
Delivery Time
Shipping and delivery schedules are curated based on the product ordered and your location, as tied to the North American growing season calendar. In general, you will receive a product when it is needed in your regional growing season/ growing situation. For example, we will send outdoor seeds in time for their sowing in your geographic area. This means that in most cases we will send seed subscription products in late February or early March, and all other products ordered will arrive when their use is relevant.
Products should arrive within 7 days after shipping. We are not responsible for delays outside our control. If delivery of the products to you is delayed by an event outside our control (e.g. because of postal/courier delays, logistics, stock issues at our suppliers, or bad weather), we’ll let you know as soon as possible so that you can make timely alternative arrangements for your garden.
Courier Service
The Plant Dad uses its preferred courier services for deliveries.
REFUNDS
Customers can initiate a refund request for any product or seed subscription, and this refund request must be received by us within 1 year of purchase. No refund requests will be entertained after 1 year has elapsed.
Refund Request Process:
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to customersupport@theplantdad.com or by mail to our business address provided below, with the order number, product(s) in question, and explanation of the reason(s) for the request. We may ask questions to verify your identity prior to issuing a refund or other solution, and you may be required to return the item(s) in question.
The Plant Dad does not accept responsibility for product losses caused by neglect, failure to follow The Plant Dad planting and care recommendations, for products used in a zone/climate that is conflicting to what The Plant Dad recommends, or for products and seeds/plants which fail due to insects, pests, pets, children, chemicals, disease, extreme weather or other acts of God, poor soil, low germination, heat or cold, lack of or excessive sunlight, and lack of or excessive water.
We are, however, still human beings who grow things, understand that it’s tricky, and were once beginners with all kinds of interesting failures. First and foremost, we want you to succeed. When you can’t do that (for whatever reason) we want you to walk away satisfied, with a positive feel for gardening, and a desire to try again. Please get in touch with us concerning your specific case, we can probably work something out.
We do reserve the right to accept or reject a refund request at our sole discretion, or to offer a partial refund or other accommodation as the situation warrants.
Damaged Products
Important Note: If your order is damaged while in transit to your location, please contact Customer Service @ (410)449-0561 for immediate assistance with a replacement (if available) OR a refund on this shipment.
